INTUITIVE DEEP-TISSUE MASSAGE
We offer both intuitive deep tissue massage and traditional Balinese massage at Samyama. While both will have you feeling soft, open and deeply relaxed, these therapies differ slightly. Interested in powerful yet gentle and meditative massage? Opt for one of our traditional Balinese massages with our skilled practitioners. Experiencing chronic pain, or an old injury? Then book yourself in for an intuitive deep tissue massage for a truly rejuvenating experience.

Reiki is a form of energy healing originating from Japan. Our reiki master uses loving touch to activate the natural healing processes of your body.
Reiki sessions are one hour, or you can request a crystal healing session which is 45 minutes.

ICE BATH AND BREATH WORK
Whether you’re brand new to ice baths or an advanced ice bath lover, we have a session for you. The ice bath session is an opportunity to learn and directly experience an induced meditative state. Deepen your established warrior practice in the ice with one of our experienced teachers, meeting new boundaries and techniques. Or introduce yourself to the ice in a supportive framework of breathwork and experienced teachers.
The ice is a great teacher and forces our body and mind to presence.
You will simply learn and try, with an experienced teacher, the breathing technique and then be supported in the ice bath experience in a safe and supportive environment.
The benefits of this practice are not only related to muscle recovery and body strength but specifically to rewire and heal the nervous system, allowing states of mental clarity, improving sleep and lucidity of mind and naturally enhancing mood. A meal will be included after the experience.
The teacher will introduce the breathing technique that is specific for ice baths, what is happening in the body and the benefits of ice baths. Questions can be clarified before performing the breath work. After that, the participants will be guided into the ice and different mindfulness tools provided to support the experience. Depending on the participants, there can be several rounds of ice baths in one session. There will also be an integration process immediately after the ice bath where our bodies return to a normal temperature and some light/medium movement. The teacher will also give the opportunity for experiences to be expressed and processed.

PRIVATE STEAM SAUNA ROOM
Unwind after one of our private retreats, a long day or especially after an ice-bath in our spacious steam room. Available for private or group sessions our steam room offers the perfect ending to any number of retreats we offer at Samyama. The steam room will be yours exclusively for a duration of 60min. Feel free to flow in and out of the steam during this time as you wish. Take a look over the rice fields on our balcony or make yourself comfortable in any of the public facilities we have onsite. Bookings in advance are essential, towels provided.

Bathe yourself in the potent frequencies of a sound healing. Sound healing can allow us to sink into a deep meditation through the vibrational therapy of sound, music, song and instruments. Connecting directly to the body without the mind, a sound healing is one way to reach deep states of relaxation, emotional balance and improved sleep. Reconnect your body, mind and open your heart with tailored sound therapy or connect your spirit and hearts with a sound journey for two or a small group.

Steam heat is not only relaxing, but full of health benefits. Some of these include:

Our steam room is one of the most spacious in Ubud. We can fit approximately 12-15 people comfortably.

Cold therapy is a healing modality in itself. Benefits include:
- Strengthening immunity
- Improving sleep and focus
- Reducing inflammation
- Burning fat.
That is why the “iceman” Wim Hof, arguably the most famous proponent of cold therapy, uses it as a pillar of his Wim Hof method.
Our large ice baths can fit 6-8 people.

For those looking for a deeply restorative and transformational experience, we have a dark room on site. Kaya Kalpa is a technique that was used in Ayurveda for thousands of years to heal and rejuvenate the body.
It employs total darkness to send the body into deep rest and relaxation mode. The temporary loss of sight triggers various chemical reactions in the brain that may result in access to deeper states of consciousness. A minimum of 3 days is recommended and can be done for up to 40 days for advanced practitioners.
